Charles Douglas has been a friend of mine for almost seven years. Simply put, I
think he's a genius. I've never met anyone as maniacally and successfully
creative as he is. And he's as sweet as can be, too. Vegetarian Meat was
Charles' first band. Charles' record
had been gathering dust for about a year and we were finally able to put it out.
So one weekend I'm waiting to board the bus to Pennsylvania at the Port Authority
and listening hard to Charles' record. Then who gets in line behind me?
Charles!! He's from Allentown, PA, and gets off the Bieber Bus at Hellertown
while I stay on until Reading. We couldn't believe it. So we got to know each
other as we listened to the master together and he told me all of the twisted
stories behind the songs.
Help me spread the music of Charles and find him some of the pre-posthumous
recognition and respect he really deserves.
