Here at IndieOnline we get demo tapes from a lot of great bands. So it stands to reason that we have to choose our bands very carefully.
That's why, (as you might have heard) when SATANICIDE first approached
us with a demo tape recorded "At their bud Herb's House" (straight to 8-track),
we had to pass. We took a look at www.SATANICIDE.com and found it hard to take
SATANICIDE
seriously. It wasn't till a few months later that on a trip out of town, we met
Vito Shapiro (Italian, and of the Jewish faith) who got us wasted and took us out to a show down
the Jer-Z shore. All it took was one nite of Kick Ass Rock to change our minds. The show was
Awesome, The girls were HOTT, the band SATANICIDE! We saw dollar signs.
Negotiating a deal was
easy... too easy! But signing a band like SATANICIDE is like handing a 4 year
old a loaded gun - we knew that Enabler would be in for the long haul!! But
don't let that scare you (that's our problem)...
Devlin Mayhem speaks out about ENABLER RECORDS:

" Just between you and me, we had lots of offers from other rekkerd labels. Just
the other day I got a call from Geffen Rekkerds sayin' that they wanted to sign
us for $5000. I said f*ck you dudes! Later to that.
We don't have that kinda money, and if we did we'd probly spend it on weed an
wutnot! So then I met this dude Bobby from Enabler and I sweet talked him a bit
and got my old ladie to give him blow and then got him to sign us for
NOTHIN!!!! In fact, he even bought us some beers! SWEET!!!!" - Devlin Mayhem
